Ojokoro Local Council Development Area’s Executive Chairman, Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (HID), has issued another urgent plea to the Federal Government of Nigeria, spotlighting the perilous state of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, specifically the Abule-Egba to Sango axis, known as a danger zone claiming numerous lives.
Following a recent visit to yet another tragic accident scene on Saturday, where a tanker fell onto two buses, tragically resulting in the loss of one life and leaving many others with severe injuries due to the road’s deplorable condition, Hon. HID Tijani emphasized the critical need for immediate intervention.
“I implore the Federal Government, relevant ministries, and agencies to act swiftly. Our community cannot bear more loss of lives and property. The toll of accidents here is immeasurable. Ojokoro LCDA urgently needs assistance,” urged Hon. HID Tijani.
Commending the rapid response of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Fire Service, and the Nigerian Police, he assured residents of restored normalcy and encouraged them to resume their daily activities.
